Seine Socks

Seine Socks are worked from the cuff down to the toe in the round.
The socks begin with a short ribbed cuff featuring an alternating 1x1 cast-on, followed by a combination of textured stitches and cable motifs inspired by the Seine Sweater.
 
The pattern then transitions into simple stripes that continue throughout the leg and foot.
The remainder of the sock is worked in stripes and features a classic heel flap and gusset construction. The toe is shaped with regular paired decreases to create a comfortable and well-fitting finish.
 
With its mix of techniques and textures, Seine Socks is an enjoyable project to knit and a wonderful way to revisit the motifs of the matching sweater while making use of leftover yarn from your stash.

· Yarn substitutions: Any Fingering weight yarn that is Wool Nylon Blend. For example, Lang Yarns Jawoll, Filcolana Arwetta, Lana Grossa Meilenweit 100 Tweed.
 
MATERIALS
2 mm / US 0 and 2.5 mm / US 1 ½ circular needles, 80 cm / 32” or any needles of preference to work small circumferences in the rnd. (or size needed to obtain gauge)
5 stitches marker (1 contrasting for BOR).
